This page contains the necessary steps for the installation of the program.

Steps to be executed before starting the installation:

As the access to the TELNET server it is carried through a Net Communications based in protocol TCP/IP, it must be assured that the following requirements are available before the installation being initiated:

- Microcomputer with Windows 95 or more recent version (Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows Vista, etc..);
- Communications network with the Telnet server, based on TCP/IP, as for example, an Internet access;
- Address IP or the name in standard Internet of the Telnet server;
- Type of Terminal IBM that will be simulated (models 2,3,4 or 5, with attributes extended or not);
- Extended attributes of the terminal, if there is any (colors, reverse text, etc..);

Steps to install the program:

The media where the program is recorded (CD or downloaded setup file) must be available, so that the installation can be initiated.

- If an CD is available, is enough that it is inserted in the CD drive and, in few seconds the installation dialogue will be shown.
- If the setup file was downloaded, locate the file path, double click on it and the installation dialogue will be shown.
- The installation will be easily drived by the installation dialog.

Steps to uninstall the program:

Select Windows Start button, then Programs and then Tec3270. Choose uninstall item.
Follow instructions that will be presented by the uninstall dialog window.

Another form that can be used to uninstall Tec3270 is to start the Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs and removing Tec3270.
