This page contains all necessary steps to configure and use Remote Printing.
Configuring and Using Remote Printing
Generally, an printer session is automatically associated to terminal, by TELNET server. In some cases no association is done, and the printer netname must be supplied, because some TELNET servers can't support this option, or aren't configured to make this association. The complete help for configuring Remote Printing can be found on Remote Printer Session Configurator dialog, where all printer session parameters, using LU Type 1 or Type 3, may be specified. Once this configuration is done, it is memorized and, every time the session (where it has been configured) is initialized, the Remote Printer is also initialized by presenting its Remote Printer Status window, that shows every component status, that is, Host connection, workstation and local printer status. There is an command menu on Remote Printer Status window that can be used to Disconnect, to Connect again, to Configure local printer, to change the Printer Font, to examine the Server Certificate on secure sessions, an so on. This window is automatically closed, after an successfully connection being established, but it can be viewed, at any time, by clicking on remote printer icon (
)
located on the right side of printer netname, on status bar.
