This page contains all necessary steps for connecting to an Telnet Server, by specifying its parameters, or optionally, by using an previously defined session.

Storing sessions configurations
Configuring and storing session parameters is described on 'Sessions Configurations' section of the Tutorial.
Connecting to TELNET Server without session definition
Before starting the connection to TELNET server, it's needed to create one "Basic Terminal Session".
It is done by clicking button on Tools Bar, or choosing the option 'New' on Tec3270's Menu "Session" item.

Following, the option 'Connect', on Tec3270's Menu "Session" item, should be selected. It will show the Session Configurator dialog, where you just need to supply the Server 'Host Name' or 'IP Address' and the desired 3270 Terminal Type and finally beginning the session, by pressing OK button.
Using IBM Terminal functions
Once the session is connected, all IBM 327x terminals functions are available.
From this moment, Tec3270 operates like an regular terminal, but increased with the very helpful additional functions supplied, like 'Clipboard', 'Screen Printing and Storing', etc...

Keyboard and mouse functions are described on Using Keyboard and Mouse functions.
